Johnny Sertin

The unfolding story of my life and the emergence of different experiences, skills and passions has all led to Becoming. I have over 30 years of experience in leadership, training and accompanying people to navigate the valleys and mountains of life – from my early beginnings as a youth worker, to pastor, entrepreneur, educator, and community organiser. My vision is to inspire the full potential of people and organisations by connecting who they are with what they do. I have an MSc in community-based regeneration. My research explored the relationship between spirituality, community practice and artful organisation as ways to form sentient individuals and innovative work. The common thread that grounds my work is creating dynamic ecosystems that generate sustainable environments of change and order. I am trained in the Art of Hosting and foster various action research practices to enable people and organisations to deepen their purpose and mission.

I have a background and training in dance and see everything like a dance piece waiting to be choreographed.  My early dance career included running a dance program for a charity working with at risk young people and teaching budding west end performers. My more recent working life has seen me take on the role of a choreographer in a new way; coming alongside organisations to help them form team culture, build operational systems and processes and develop project management structures that keep things running smoothly. I am currently training in the Art of Hosting and am enjoying exploring how to create space for meaningful conversations.
